When it comes to stuff like hunting down famous food places, I usually leave it to my friends and family to do it, because I’m not really the kind of person who will intentionally hunt down these places.
However, when I saw this café in a Korea guide book, I knew I had to go.
We headed here after our morning trip to Ewha, since it was located in Mapo as well. It took us some effort to find it even while using Naver Maps (because we overshot the turn that we were supposed to take), but it was well worth the extra walking.
The café is actually really noticeable once you turn in, because it’s surrounded by so many beautiful flowers!

This café is really popular, thanks to its celebrity customers and the various reality shows that have been filmed here. When we were there, there would be at least 1 or 2 groups of locals & tourists having tea (and take selfies).

As a person who adores flowers, this place is HEAVEN. Almost every nook is tastefully adorned with beautiful blooms, and you can tell that the owners definitely have experience in floral arrangement and care.
Look at how much thought they put into the food & beverages, and the way these are served! It’s almost as though they want to make everything look so good that you have no choice but to Instagram it (it worked).
The drinks were pretty good – I quite liked my hot milk tea. Food-wise, I thought the panini was okay. Not super delicious, but still acceptable. We ordered a little too much for us to finish (just order 1 if you don’t have a huge appetite!), but the staff were kind enough to give us a box to bring the leftovers back, which I appreciated.
Prices were also on par with that of other cafés in Seoul. It’s not cheap, and definitely not the kind of food you should be ordering if you are travelling on a tight budget, but if you have some won to spare, I definitely think this place is worth coming to.
Also on a side note: be gracious when it comes to taking photos and selfies! There’s only one flower wall, which is a hot spot for people who want to take lots of pretty photos. Take turns, wait patiently for the other people to have their photos taken, and don’t squabble over something as petty as a photo op. Everyone wants to get a nice photo in a Instagrammable café, and the chances are that most people go to Florté for photos, so be nice!
