Back in 2017, my friends and I went to Jeju on a whim (sort of) – we had no planned itinerary, and had even less idea of where we should eat at. It turned out not to be a bad thing after all because we discovered so many unexpectedly amazing eats along the way, including Jeju Olle Naengmyeon!
Jeju Olle Naengmyeon is located in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju-si. As the airport is only 10 minutes away, the restaurant is visited by many tourists as well as local residents. Their broth, made with 12 kinds of Jeju seafood, has a rich and refreshing seafood flavor, and their noodles, produced right after the order is taken, has a chewy texture. The restaurant’s distinctive exterior, decorated with a pinwheel theme, makes an excellent photo spot, and the comfortable and modern dining space accommodates 70 people, so group reservations are possible.
The restaurant provides a large parking lot. Their menu, with various items such as premium octopus and short rib soup, beef hangover soup, beef ribs and octopus hot pot, gives you a wide range of choices. Note that they have a free mini-café that serves Americano coffee, which you can take out.
We were actually looking for a black pork BBQ restaurant but ended up here. It was right in the thick of summer, which made it perfect for eating naengmyeon (as per my friend’s order) – but there’s also never a bad time to eat pork soup! Most people actually come here to eat naengmyeon or one of their 12 seafood stews (oops) but I wasn’t much of a seafood fan and I had enough naengmyeon, so I wanted to try something else.

Piping hot soup paired with extra cold Hite beer? Yes please! The soup was the right amount of salty – I especially appreciated the generous amount of spring onions and meat that they added for a highly satisfying meal.
While their banchan was slightly lacking in quantity, they made up for it with quality. The radish kimchi, in particular, was spicy but highly addictive.
This restaurant is located just 10 minutes away from the airport, but we stopped over here at one of the Jeju Golden Bus City Tour bus stops (I believe it’s Black Pork Restaurant Street) and walked a short distance before chancing upon Jeju Olle Naengmyeon. Either way, if you’re craving for some hot stews before or after your flight at Jeju Airport, this is the restaurant to get your fill!

Nice post, this reminds me of how I almost made it to Jeju during my extensive wanderings around China and (less extensive) Korea. The food looks fantastic, well captured.
